On 2nd December 2022, Dr. Ishwar V. Basavaraddi inaugurated “The Advance Yoga Centre for Health and Wellness” and also launched the one-month Yoga course i.e “Foundation Course in Yoga Science for Wellness”, (FCYScW). Chief Guest Dr. Ishvar V. Basavaraddi, Director of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, with his wife Dr. Kusuma Basavaraddi, and a team of 18 delegates from MDNIY graced the occasion with their presence.
Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Vice-chancellor, CPU-Hamirpur briefed the audience about the Seminar/Workshop, and about the University’s plan regarding Yoga and Wellness through integrations with renowned institutes of national and International repute. He also introduced MDNIY and highlighted initiatives, collaboration, and practices undergoing under the aegis of the Ministry of Ayush and WHO. Sanskari Yoga Guru Dr. Ram Avtar, Advisor, CPUH also addressed the audience and made them aware of the significant role of CPU, Hamirpur in the foundation building of the community, thereafter Chief Guest, Dr. Ishvar V. Basavaraddi addressed the participants. He said such workshops lead to the exchange of information, educational cooperation, and research in the domain of Yoga.
“Foundation of Yoga on Health and Wellbeing” to create awareness among the participants and local community about traditional yoga and naturopathy practices. The main objective of the seminar was not only to train yoga practitioners but also to clear the myths and misconceptions associated with yogic practices. The right way of practicing yoga was also taught to the participants.
