About the Conference

Himachal Pradesh which is also famous as Dev Bhoomi, most of the population resides in villages. Rural and semi urban communities contribute in economy of country in the real sense. Farmers/villagers are the producers who feed the urban communities. But due to low income/crop loss due to natural disasters and many other reasons, people especially rural and semi urban communities are facing economic stress. To attain sustainability in real terms, we should move our focus from urban to rural growth. The time has come when we all need to come forward to make rural population aware of natural resources for better management of our Mother Nature and Natural Resources.

Department of Zoology

Department of Zoology got started in the year 2016. The department has grown into a well-recognized centre for higher learning and research.

The department attracts students for UG, PG and Doctoral studies from within and outside the state. In addition, practicals, field visits, seminars, symposia, workshops, invited lectures and Zoological excursions are an integral part of academic program of the division.
