NSS Activities Undertaken

Different activities undertaken in session 2015-16 are depicted below:-

Cleanliness

In September 2015 the NSS volunteers undertook cleanliness campaign in the campus to make it neat and clean and give a boost to the Swach Bharat Abhiyan of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The Abhiyan was taken in every Saturday for 1- 2 hours.

Plantation

In October 2015, different saplings were planted by volunteers of NSS along with the faculty and other staff members of the university in campus.

Blood donation Camp

A blood donation camp was organized on 29 October 2015 in the Multi-Purpose Hall of university in collaboration with Zonal Hospital, Hamirpur. Dr. Mohan Singh Thakur along with his team of six members conducted the camp. At the commencement of the program Dr. Thakur made students aware regarding various aspects of blood donation. Twenty six units of blood was donated by the students and faculty members.

Self Defense Training to Women Students

As a part of women empowerment porogramme the university organized a six days self defense training to the women students and faculty from 5th October to 10 October,2015 in collaboration with the Superintendent of Police Hamirpur.Different NSS Volunteers participated in this.

Run for Unity

Run for Unit was undertaken on 16.11.15 nu NSS volunteers in Tikkar and Kharwar villages for showing Unity and integrity of the country.

Campus landscapping

Two Days On 19th and 20th December all volunteers participated in shramdhan activity as a part of NSS practical work.

NSS Special Camp

A week long special camp of NSS was organized from 27th December 2015 – 1st January 2015.for 58 volunteers of BCA, BBA (First Semester). The students turned uneven sides of the road into leveled road side with   stones and broken tiles. They shape a beautiful boundary along the sides of the road.

Signature Campaign against pollution

A signature campaign against pollution control was held in tikker village. The volunteers created awareness among the people of village tikker. They told people how they can control pollution in their village. The efforts of students were appreciated by peoples.

Cleaning of Temple

During Camp on 30th December2015 cleaning of temple was organized as outdoor activity. Volunteers cleaned the nearby lord shiva temple of tikker village and spread awareness regarding importance of clean surroundings among villagers.

Different competition musical chairs, dance, singing were organized during the camp as a part of cultural activity.

On 19-08-2016 the NSS volunteers undertook cleanliness campaign in the campus to make it neat and clean and give a boost to the Swach Bharat Abhiyan of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The Abhiyan was taken in every Saturday for 1- 2 hours.

Blood donation Camp

A blood donation camp was organized on 24th september 2016 in the Multi-Purpose Hall of university in collaboration with Zonal Hospital, Hamirpur. Blood was donated by the students and faculty members.

NSS. Special Camp

A week long special camp of NSS was organized from 24th December 2016 – 31st December 2017.for 50 volunteers of BALLB, B.Sc (Third Semester).

Lecture by Dr.M.R.Sharma

Special Motivational Lecture by Dr.M.R.Sharma was arranged for NSS Volunteers during NSS Camp.

Games

Different competition musical chairs, dance, singing running were organized during the camp as a part of cultural activity.

Cleanliness Drive

NSS Activity was organised by NSS Volunteers. Where they helped to make campus area clean and maintained the gardens of the campus, they learnt to work collectively. On 30-08-2017 the NSS volunteers under took cleanliness campaign in the campus to make it neat and clean and give a boost to the Swach Bharat Abhiyan of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

NSS volunteers has organised a rally for awareness of Swachhta in the nearby village Kharwar on NSS day 24th September 2017.

Guest lecture (GAYATRI PRIVAR)

A seminar was organized by Akhil Gayatri Parivar at Career Point University Hamirpur and NSS Volunteers , on 26th September, 2017 with a theme on moral values & anti drug addiction.

Took the Oath on Birthday to Plant a Tree

A tree was planted by NSS Volunteers those born on the moths of September and took the oath to plant a tree on their every birthday. They adopted the tree which they planted on the same day. Students also took the pledge to look after the tree which they planted

Dustbin making competition from waste material by NSS volunteers

In October2017, NSS volunteers have organized a competition on dustbin making from waste material.

Under “Swachhta Hi Sewa” campaign all staff of Career Point University taking Swachhta oath in the month of October 2017.

Special lecture by Honourable Vice Chancellor P.L.Gautam on harmful breeds of plants available in our surrounding.

1st International day of girl child

On 11th October, 2017, International girl child was celebrated at Career Point University. Girl students with extraordinary performance in sports meet were felicitated on the occasion with the collaboration of NSS Volunteers.

Self Defense Training to Women Students

As a part of women empowerment porogramme the university organized a six days self defense training to the women students in collaboration with the Superintendent of Police Hamirpur. Different NSS Volunteers participated in this.

Cleanness drive at adopted Village Kharwar

On 26th Dec,2017 NSS volunteers of Career Point University hamirpur organized a cleanness drive at kharwar Panchaayat which is the adopted village by NSS Career Point University.

Hospital Cleanness

On 27th Dec,2017 NSS volunteers of Career Point University hamirpur organized a cleanness drive at Ayurvedic Dispensary Ladraur hamirpur.

Cleanness Drive

On 28th Dec,2017 NSS volunteers of Career Point University hamirpur organized a cleanness drive at Ambedkar Bhavan, Bassi as a part of social responsibility.

Cleanness drive at adopted Village Dungri

On 29th Dec,2017 NSS volunteers of Career Point University Hamirpur organized a cleanness drive at Dungri Village temple and aware local villagers about cleanness.

Children Park Hamirpur Cleanness

On 30th Dec,2017 NSS volunteers of Career Point University Hamirpur organized a cleanness drive at children park hamirpur.

NSS. Special Camp

A week long special camp of NSS was organized from 25th December 2017 – 30st December 2017.for 50 volunteers of BALLB, BCA (First Semester).

Cleanness awareness

During Camp NSS Volunteers started awareness campaign to the migrated labor in hamirpur.
