In observance of World Blood Donor Day 2025, the 4 HP (I) Coy NCC, Hamirpur, organized a meaningful and impactful Blood Donation Camp at Career Point University, Hamirpur. Themed “Give Blood, Give Hope – Together We Save Lives,” the event highlighted the vital role of voluntary blood donors in saving lives and promoting community health.
The camp was conducted under the esteemed Chairmanship of Commanding Officer Colonel SS Rawat, and saw valuable collaboration from the Blood Center team of Dr. Radhakrishnan Medical College (led by Mr. Kamlesh Sharma) and medical professionals Dr. Hinshu Sharma and Dr. Amardeep from Civil Hospital Bhoranj, who facilitated and ensured smooth medical supervision throughout the event.
To encourage a holistic approach to health, the event also featured a special yoga training session for blood donors. Dr. Rinku and her team of yoga experts guided participants through scientifically recommended yoga asanas tailored to maintain physical and mental well-being, especially for those actively participating in voluntary blood donation.
The camp received an enthusiastic response from a diverse group of participants, including NCC cadets, army personnel, and local civilians, all of whom came forward with great spirit to donate blood and support the humanitarian cause. The event not only reinforced the life-saving importance of blood donation but also cultivated a sense of collective social responsibility among attendees.
The initiative was meticulously coordinated by Assistant Director MTC Mr. Kundan Lal, ANO CPUH Dr. Manu Vineet Sharma, and ANO Degree College Ghumarwin Mr. Rajeev Sharma, whose joint efforts contributed significantly to the seamless execution of the event.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Career Point University, Hamirpur – Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for organizing a camp that so effectively combined service, health awareness, and community engagement. He emphasized the university’s continuous support for such socially relevant initiatives that not only benefit public health but also instill a sense of civic duty in students and stakeholders alike.
