Career Point University, Hamirpur (H.P.), observed International Yoga Day 2025 on June 18, in alignment with this year’s global theme — “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” The event was organized as part of the Ministry of Ayush’s ‘Harit Yoga’ campaign, which promotes the integration of wellness, sustainability, and mindful living through the practice of yoga.
The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the awakening of inner wisdom. The University had the honour of hosting Dr. Ramavtar Sanskari, a renowned Yog Guru, as the Chief Guest, who was felicitated along with other dignitaries for their gracious presence and contributions to the event.
The day featured a collective demonstration of yogic asanas by students and faculty, reflecting the deep-rooted Indian wisdom of physical vitality, mental clarity, and spiritual balance. Carefully curated yoga sessions created a peaceful and focused environment, allowing participants to reconnect with themselves while engaging in holistic well-being practices.
As part of the Harit Yoga initiative, the event also included meaningful sustainability-driven activities:
- A cleanliness drive was conducted around traditional bawadis (stepwells), emphasizing environmental responsibility and community hygiene
- A tree plantation activity, where each sapling planted served as a pledge for a greener and healthier future
The celebration concluded with a group photograph capturing the energy, unity, and spirit of all participants — students, faculty, dignitaries, and yoga practitioners — who came together in support of health and harmony.
Through events like these, Career Point University continues to promote a holistic model of education, combining academic pursuit with wellness, environmental stewardship, and values rooted in tradition.
