In a celebration of diversity, culture, and a shared commitment to sustainable living, Career Point University, Himachal Chapter, had the distinct pleasure of welcoming esteemed guests, Mr. Nate Blum, CEO of Sorghum United USA, and Dr. Satyen Yadav, Chairman of India Millet Initiative Noida, for the International Decade of Millets event.

The festivities kicked off with a warm welcome and a breathtaking Himachali Folk Dance, “Naati,” symbolizing the university’s embrace of cultural richness. Adding an extra beat to the celebration, Mr. Nate Blum, CEO of Sorghum United, USA, joined the students in grooving to the infectious rhythm of “Naati,” creating a moment to cherish.

Further, the spirit of discipline and honor was saluted as dedicated NCC cadets, with precision and pride, escorted the esteemed guests during the International Decade of Millets: Himachal Chapter, showcasing a commitment to excellence.

The event unfolded into a feast for the senses with the International Decade of Millets: Himachal Chapter. Special recognition was given to the talented students of the Hotel Management department, who crafted a culinary masterpiece infused with the unique touch of millets, transforming lunch into a delightful and sustainable experience.

The pride of Himachal was bestowed upon our distinguished guests as a heartfelt felicitation saw them presented with the traditional ‘Himachali Cap’ and exquisite ‘Shawls.’ Each thread woven with the warmth and hospitality of our culture, these tokens symbolized our deep appreciation for their valuable contributions and marked a moment of cultural exchange and unity.

The commitment to a sustainable future was sealed during the event with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and engaging discussions on the potential and current scenario of Millets and Sorghums.
