Hamirpur, September 2025:
In a remarkable step toward promoting traditional wellness and sustainable health practices, the Division of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy at Career Point University, Hamirpur, along with the CPU-PSI Centre for Traditional Medicine, Yoga, and Sanskar Vigyan, successfully distributed over 1,300 medicinal plant saplings of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) in the region. This initiative was part of the ongoing celebration of Ayurveda for People and Planet, aiming to bring the benefits of traditional medicine directly to communities.
The program was conducted in collaboration with several esteemed partners, including the Directorate of Community Services (DCS), Division of IKS- Traditional Knowledge, Prem Sukh International Charitable Trust (PSICT), Ekal Arogya Yojna, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and अखिल भारतीय परंपरागत वनौषधि प्रशिक्षण वैद्य महासंघ.
Community Engagement and Distribution Details
- On 15th September 2025, 600 Ashwagandha saplings were distributed under the ‘Har Ghar Ayurveda’ initiative at Gram Panchayat Dhamrol, Tehsil Bhoranj, Distt. Hamirpur.
- The following day, 16th September 2025, another 700 saplings were handed out at Gram Panchayat Paplah and Bhareri Market, continuing the mission to integrate traditional wellness practices at the grassroots level.
Through this initiative, CPU not only promotes environmental sustainability but also encourages local communities to embrace the cultivation and use of medicinal plants, aligning with the principles of Ayurveda for holistic health and well-being.
