“Ek ghanta khel ke maidaan mein!” – with this spirit, Career Point University, Hamirpur proudly celebrated National Sports Day in tribute to the legendary hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand.
The day served as a reminder of the crucial role sports play in shaping a healthy, disciplined, and united nation. Students across different programs came together with great zeal to participate in activities that reflected both fitness and fun.
The celebrations began with a yoga session, encouraging mindfulness and holistic well-being. This was followed by indigenous games like Pithu, which brought a nostalgic charm to the event, connecting students with traditional forms of recreation. Adding to the thrill were high-energy competitions including basketball, wrestling, and tug of war, where students showcased their athletic skills, teamwork, and determination.
On this occasion, students also took a pledge to promote sports, stay active, and contribute to building a fitter and stronger India.
