On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, cadets from the NCC Unit of 4 HP (I) Coy NCC, Hamirpur, came together at Career Point University to contribute to a greener, healthier planet. With a spirit of service and environmental awareness, the cadets engaged in activities that reflect both responsibility and reverence for nature.
Greening the Campus: Plantation Drive
As part of the celebration, NCC cadets planted 30 medicinal plants, including Harad, Bhera, Amla, and Neem—species known for their significant health and ecological benefits. This initiative not only enhanced the biodiversity of the campus but also reinforced the role of students in shaping a sustainable future.
The choice of medicinal plants underscores the value of indigenous knowledge systems and the importance of integrating environmental action with community health and wellness.
Harit Yoga: Celebrating Harmony with Nature
Adding a unique and meaningful dimension to the event, cadets performed Harit Yoga on the natural green lawns of the university. This symbolic act of practicing yoga in open natural surroundings emphasized the interconnection between personal well-being and environmental balance.
Harit Yoga, in this context, reflected the values of mindfulness, sustainability, and holistic living, encouraging all participants to adopt greener and healthier lifestyles.
Commitment to Environmental Stewardship
Career Point University takes pride in nurturing environmentally conscious citizens who are not only academically driven but also socially and ecologically responsible. Initiatives like this reflect the university’s commitment to promoting sustainable practices, student leadership, and community engagement.
We congratulate the NCC cadets and faculty coordinators for organizing a thoughtful and impactful event. Through their actions, they’ve inspired others to protect and preserve our environment, not just on World Environment Day, but every day.
