Hamirpur, 30th September – 2nd October 2025: The NCC Cadets of Career Point University (CPU), Hamirpur, spearheaded a comprehensive three-day Swachhata Abhiyaan, combining a Health and Hygiene Awareness Campaign with an extensive Campus Cleaning Drive. This initiative aimed not only to maintain a clean and green campus but also to instill a sense of civic responsibility, environmental consciousness, and public health awareness among students and the surrounding community.
The campaign began with the cadets taking a solemn pledge to uphold cleanliness in their daily lives and actively promote hygienic practices among peers and neighbors. This symbolic commitment set the tone for the activities that followed, emphasizing that sustainable change begins with individual responsibility.
Throughout the three days, cadets engaged in intensive cleaning activities across the university campus, including classrooms, hostels, common areas, gardens, and open spaces. Their efforts extended beyond the campus as they reached out to nearby streets and public spaces, demonstrating that community involvement is crucial in achieving a cleaner environment. The cleaning drive not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the campus but also highlighted the importance of proper waste management and organized sanitation practices.
In parallel with the cleaning activities, the cadets conducted a Health and Hygiene Awareness Campaign, interacting with students, faculty, and local residents. They shared practical tips on personal hygiene, waste segregation, handwashing, and sanitation practices, aiming to create long-lasting behavioral change. By engaging directly with the community, the cadets underscored the role of education and awareness in building healthier, more resilient neighborhoods.
The initiative reflected the broader goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, emphasizing that cleanliness and hygiene are not just tasks but responsibilities that contribute to the well-being of society. The cadets’ dedication showcased leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to social service, inspiring their peers and community members to actively participate in similar efforts.
Through this three-day campaign, NCC Cadets of CPU Hamirpur successfully combined action with awareness, leaving a visible impact on the campus and surrounding areas. Their efforts went beyond cleaning, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship, community engagement, and disciplined civic action. The drive stands as a testament to the power of youth-led initiatives in shaping a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable India.
By taking the lead in such campaigns, the cadets not only enhanced their personal development and sense of responsibility but also reinforced Career Point University’s commitment to nurturing socially conscious and proactive citizens who contribute meaningfully to society.
