Virasat Club
The Virasat Club is the cultural heritage and traditions club of the university, formed to celebrate, preserve, and promote the rich tapestry of India’s diverse cultural legacy. It provides a platform for students to engage with folk traditions, classical arts, regional customs, and indigenous knowledge systems through meaningful activities and performances.
Objective:
To instill pride in India’s cultural heritage, foster intergenerational understanding, and encourage students to explore and represent their roots through art, music, dance, literature, and traditional practices.
Activities & Highlights:
- Organizing folk dance, classical music, and traditional art performances during university fests and national celebrations.
- Conducting heritage walks, exhibitions, and storytelling sessions on regional culture and history.
- Hosting workshops on crafts, textiles, cuisine, and languages of India.
- Observing festivals and cultural days with authentic representation and student participation.
- Collaborating with cultural organizations, artisans, and scholars to preserve and promote heritage.
